The City Commission is moving forward with the construction of a $9.7 million parking garage without a sound financial plan in place and with no regard to how it will impact the city’s budget for years to come. When asked about the plan to financially support the garage they point to a study created by their consultant (WGI), that includes paid parking throughout downtown, not just in the garage. They have no additional scenarios mapped out to understand the impact to the city’s finances. Lake Worth for All has been asking for better planning for over a year and continuously ignored.

We need all our Lake Worth Beach neighbors to understand these amendments and make an informed decision. We would appreciate any additional steps you can take that would help us spread the word. Please talk to your friends and family, put up a yard sign, and volunteer if you are able!
